Soil for Blueberries: what we recommend

Blueberries need more than “good soil.” Start with a medium selected for acid-loving plants and reliable drainage. Blueberry Planting is our most crop-specific option; Bestwest Planting Mix is an aged-bark alternative for blueberries and other acid-loving plants.

Get the root zone and order right.

• Choose the medium around in-ground beds, containers or production use.
• Protect drainage through wet Western Washington winters instead of focusing on pH alone.
• For larger plantings, ask about bulk availability and project quantities.
